Woodland Glamour | RT Lodge Destination Wedding

Sometimes brides fear the “threat” of rain on their wedding days.  Sometimes the design is so perfectly organic and cozy that the rain is just simply the perfect finishing detail to a nature inspired wedding day.  The beautiful destination wedding of Kacie and Daniel at RT Lodge in Maryville, Tennessee was just that. A beautiful day filled with warmth, the closeness of friends, lots of natural elements, and stunning pops of glamour.

Bride Kacie channels a bit of old Hollywood glam on her wedding day with a bold red lip and subtle natural makeup. Her beautiful Leanne Marshall  gown was accented by a fur wrap for the perfect touch of glam.  Kacie’s glamour look mixes beautifully with the natural environment in a unique combination of woodland romance and Hollywood glamour.

The beautiful florals by Jaclyn Journey included blue muscari, banksia, dried golden coxcomb, green heleborus, andromeda, blue delphinium,  peach eremurus, cedar, Italian eucalyptus,  golden Combo roses,  brown Japanese sweet peas, honeysuckle vine, scabiosa, and foraged local greenery.  The look continued the theme of natural beauty perfect for the woodlands surrounding RT Lodge.

From the designer Jaclyn Journey: “Kacie wanted her late winter/early spring wedding to feel a bit wintery and magical.  She had a very specific style and was not afraid to express it through her wedding.  It was earthy and reflective of the surroundings but also a touch glam.  She chose a bold red lip, blingy jewels, wore a fur wrap, had a soft feminine dress and animal print mules but wanted the overall vibe to feel like the forest.  She wanted it to feel cozy, elegant, and comfortable.  It ended up raining the entire day so we had to enact a last minute rain plan and then flip the tent.  We had rugs we were intending to use for the ceremony aisle but pulled those and some from the lodge to create a very cozy space with the lounge furniture we had for cocktail hour and the reception. ”

Beautiful paper details featuring butterflies, flowers, and earthy tones were created by High Fancy Paper  with calligraphy by Rachel Fisher Calligraphy.  The details created a consistent theme and mood for the wedding from the invitation to the exit.
